Art You Can Actually Afford to Care About

Most emerging artists can’t get their foot in the door at traditional NYC galleries. The system’s rigged—galleries want proven names, but artists can’t build that without exhibition opportunities. We’re fixing that. Every month, new artists get dedicated wall space, real foot traffic, and direct access to people who don’t just look at art—they buy it. The work on our walls ranges from affordable prints to original pieces, all priced to sell. When you buy here, you’re buying directly from the person who made it. No gallery markup. No middleman taking half. Just you supporting someone’s creative practice in a way that actually helps them keep working.

Why Choose Us?

Proven NYC Coffee Excellence

Four pillars of quality that make us New York’s trusted neighborhood coffee destination.

You’ll discover local artists before they hit Chelsea galleries and their prices jump, giving you first access to work that’s still affordable.
Every visit feels different because exhibitions rotate monthly, so there’s always new work to see and new conversations to have.
You can spend your Friday or Saturday night somewhere that feeds your brain instead of just draining your bank account.
The coffee is good enough that you’d come here even without the art, and the art is strong enough to stand on its own.
You’ll meet other people who actually care about creativity—artists, writers, designers, and humans who think about more than their next paycheck.
Your money goes to someone making work instead of a landlord or corporate middleman, which means your support creates actual impact.

How the Hybrid Model Actually Works

Traditional galleries in NYC take 40-50% commission and demand exclusivity. Coffee shops treat art like cheap wall decoration. We’re neither. Artists here keep significantly more of what they earn. They get professional presentation, active promotion, opening receptions where they can talk about their work, and access to hundreds of people daily who might not walk into a Chelsea gallery but will absolutely notice a striking piece while waiting for their cortado. For you, it means discovering work in an environment that doesn’t feel transactional or intimidating. You can come back multiple times during an exhibition’s run, sit with a coffee, and develop a relationship with pieces before deciding what speaks to you. The space transforms after dark—lighting shifts to highlight artwork differently, the energy changes from daytime productivity to evening exploration, and it becomes a gathering place for people who want something more substantial from their night out.

What's Actually Included in Each Exhibition

Our curation process focuses on quality and diversity across all mediums. You’ll see painters, photographers, mixed media artists, and sculptors from across NYC’s five boroughs. Each month brings a new featured artist or themed exhibition exploring specific movements, mediums, or cultural conversations. Artist spotlights happen regularly throughout each exhibition month, giving you intimate access to creators who’ll talk about their process, inspiration, and the stories behind specific pieces. Most artwork displayed is available for purchase directly through the café. Prices and availability information are clearly marked, and our staff can connect you with artists for questions about specific pieces. Gallery crawl partnerships connect you to the broader NYC art scene, while opening receptions create opportunities to meet artists, hear their stories firsthand, and understand the work on a completely different level. You get a third space that works for solo time, casual meetings, date nights, or friend hangouts without defaulting to yet another bar.
